Fall is a magical time for photography, with its vibrant colors and cozy atmosphere. As a family photographer, I love offering fall mini sessions to capture the warmth that comes from fall and my sweet families. Recently, I had the opportunity to work with my very own family! Our session in Port Orchard turned into an unexpected adventure!
When we arrived at our planned location, we were greeted by a light drizzle. While this might have caused some concern for others, we saw it as an opportunity to create something unique. Instead of postponing the session, we decided to embrace the rain and let it add a touch of character to the photos.
The kids were thrilled with the idea of playing in the rain. Their infectious energy was contagious, and it made the entire experience so much more enjoyable. As I captured their moments of joy and wonder, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected turn of events. Not every family is going to want to take photos in the rain, which is completely understandable. In the case that it does rain at the time of your scheduled shoot, I always offer to reschedule. The most important thing to me as a photographer is that your family has a fun and enjoyable experience!
Rainy day photography can be challenging, but it can also lead to some of the most beautiful and memorable images. The rain adds a sense of depth and texture to the photos, and it can create a truly magical atmosphere. By embracing the unexpected, we were able to create a unique and unforgettable experience for the family.
If you are considering booking a fall mini session, I would love to connect with you and start planning out the perfect photoshoot for your family! When working with me, we will together embrace the unexpected and let it add a touch of magic to your photos. You might just discover a new favorite memory.
