This summer family session, at Point No Point Beach, was filled with lots of sweet moments, laughter, and exploring with their family dog, Rocky! With their young boys growing up, it was time for new family photos to freeze this sweet stage of their lives in time. We picked a special place that held both meaning to them and made for a beautiful backdrop.
When planning family sessions with me, choosing the time of your session and where it will be held is one of the most important decisions. I will always encourage holding your family sessions at sunset. When the sun is going down, it creates soft, warm light and vibrant colors. The beach is always a great place for family photos. There is a lot for kids to explore and enjoy. More than anything, it is my goal for your family to have a great time so I can capture the love in your family! If your children are comfortable, happy and having fun, it will show in the photos!
I absolutely love working with families who have younger kiddos! Although I do not have any kids of my own, I have worked with kids for many years and love their playful energy and pure unfiltered emotion! When young kids are a part of my sessions, I like to go with the flow and encourage parents to do the same. When you embrace the chaos, it allows for touching unscripted moments. Yes, I will redirect many times with young kids but, when you let them explore and be themselves, your children’s personalities show and tend to be some of the favorite photos. When you look back at your family pictures, you want a good memory of your session to be attached. So, we will let your kids be kids and have a good time!
