There is something uniquely fulfilling about photographing a branding session that resonates with you as the photographer. Recently, I had the privilege of photographing a branding session for a local artist here in the Seattle area, whose vision was all about sophistication, femininity, and creativity. Jaymee, the founder of Modern Muse, is an incredible artist who creates elegant jewelry and stunning paintings inspired by nature, romance, and beauty. Together, we collaborated to create images that shares the heart behind her business. 

We decided to have the session at a local beach in Kitsap County, Washington. I chose this location specifically because of the way the light hits the beach when the sun goes down. I knew it would create dreamy and romantic shots. We brought an easel and canvas, paint, and flowers to show what she does and what she is inspired by. Her choice of dress was perfect to show of the elegance in her work. 

To create images that reflected Jaymee’s beautiful art and vision, I asked several detailed questions to get an understanding of the image she wanted to convey. Branding sessions require a keen eye and the ability to share a story within just a few images. I am passionate about helping other artists and business owners share the heart behind their work. I do my best to get my clients to think deeply about their brand and help them get a vision for how they want to represent themselves.
